OKODI Data deletion instructions

This page tells you how to remove your personal information from Okodi Social. It also serves as the "Data Deletion Instructions URL" required by the Meta Platform Terms for apps that use Facebook Login.
1. Ways to delete your data
A. Delete a social connection
Open the Publish page for the relevant Business in Okodi Social and click Disconnect next to LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram. The associated access token, refresh token, and any cached account identifiers are removed within seconds.
B. Delete a Business record
On the dashboard, open the Business and use Delete Business. All posts, briefs, generated images, connections, and approval tokens for that Business are permanently removed from live systems within 24 hours and from encrypted backups within 90 days.
C. Delete your entire account
Email privacy@okodi.ai from the address associated with your account with the subject line "Delete my account". Include the name of your organisation. We verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days.
D. Revoke access from Meta or LinkedIn directly
- Facebook / Instagram:Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → find Okodi Social → Remove. Meta then sends us a signed deletion request which we honour automatically.
- LinkedIn:Settings & Privacy → Data Privacy → Permitted services → find Okodi Social → Remove.
2. What gets deleted
- Access tokens, refresh tokens, and stored Page / Instagram / LinkedIn identifiers.
- Brand sheets, content briefs, generated posts, generated images, and approval history for the affected Business or account.
- Notification email preferences, submit tokens, and client connect tokens.
A minimal transactional record (invoice line-items and security logs) is retained only for the retention periods stated in the Privacy Policy or as required by law.
3. Meta data-deletion callback
The Meta Platform Terms require an automated deletion callback for apps using Facebook Login. When you remove Okodi Social from your Facebook apps list, Meta sends a signed request to:
POST https://social.okodi.ai/api/webhooks/meta/deletion
On receipt we validate the signature using our Meta App Secret, look up the affected Facebook and Instagram connections, and delete the associated access tokens and cached account data. A confirmation code is returned to Meta and shown to the user in Meta's deletion status page.
If you need to look up the status of a previously issued deletion request, contact privacy@okodi.ai with the confirmation code Meta gave you.
4. Timelines
- In-app disconnects and Business deletions: within 24 hours from live systems.
- Email requests: within 30 days of identity verification, per POPIA section 24.
- Meta callback deletions: within 24 hours of receipt.
- Encrypted backups: within 90 days of live-system deletion.
